(1) Did you know I'm leaving on an extended trip? Not long ago my boss said, "we're not sure there's work for you when you come back from your two month trip." By the next afternoon, it was a done deal, and a month later I would be out of work. So a planned two-month trip quickly morphed into a one-way ticket, open-ended trip, beginning in India. It's like the old saying - when life hands you a lemon, make a masala dosa and squeeze some lemon on it! I'm leaving Thursday night, flying from San Francisco through Taipei, then Bangkok, to Gaya, in the state of Bihar, India. A short drive from there I'll be living the high life in my $3/night hotel. A 10-day silent meditation retreat starts four days later.
